The current ambition of Vikram, who has won the national award for the best actor for 2003 for his role as a gravedigger in Pithamagan, is to help create a period piece in Tamil cinema.
The film will be based on an English novel, which depicts some events in eighteenth-century India, say Vikrams close friends.
Vikram will pay greater attention to the project after completing his shooting for Anniyan.
